TT material

This is the tab and page where materials from the Transition Team will be shared as they become available.

If you have any questions about material you see here, contact one of the members of the Team (The team consist of, in alphabetical order by last name: Jen Holtrop, Albert Hummel, Lindsay Hummel, Ryan Konynenbelt, Wilhelmina Konynenbelt, Delbert Kooy, Pearl Nieboer, Jackie Postman and Art Van Fassen.) I (Pastor Pete), would like them to do their best at answering before people come to me. Much of the agenda will be about things you as a congregation need to figure out, not come to me for answers on.

Below is a link to the full set of notes from which Pastor Pete made his presentations to the Transition Team. These are his observations, questions, curiosities, theories and conclusions come to after he completed his visits to as many members as possible. What is interesting is that it was to be written today (March 2014) much more has been learned that could be included, but it was information that was not known at the time. So, here it is: Pastor Pete’s full set of Presentation Notes

The next step for the Transition Team now is to go through everything we’ve talked about, particularly the presentation notes but also our discussions, and identify themes that stand out as valid and needing to be reported and possibly addressed. As of Feb and March 2014 that is what the Team is working on.

The step after that report is completed is to find a way of gathering information from the congregation by way of interviews or surveys that will get some clarity about expectations for the church and pastor. Note that even if the interviews show wide ranging expectations, that is still clarity.

Book List: This is a link to a page with a list of recommended books (most of which are available on the table by the library). This has been the biggest surprise benefit of working with this Transition Team – how much we are learning from sharing our experiences of the books.
